The 2008 Anaheim Business & Economic Development Conference And Business Awards Luncheon

Mayor Curt Pringle, the Anaheim Chamber of Commerce and the City of Anaheim host the 2008 Anaheim Business & Economic Development Conference. This year’s conference promises to enlighten, excite, and energize our audience!

Don’t miss the opportunity to do business with the “who’s who” of the Anaheim business community. The conference will be held on Wednesday, November 12th at the Disneyland Hotel.

8:30-3:00 p.m Business Expo
  Visit our Business Expo to talk one on one with our breakout session panelists and many more Anaheim businesses.
9:00 a.m. Welcome – Mayor Curt Pringle
  Panel Discussion moderated by OC Metro’s Steve Churm discussing “What’s Happening in Anaheim”. Panelists include Chris Lowe – Manager Government Relations/Public Affairs - Disneyland Resort, Natalie Meeks, Director of Public Works, City of Anaheim, discussing ARTIC, Tony Smale, Lead Planner, Orange County Service Area – Kaiser Permanente, Stephen Batcheller, Partner - Panattoni Development, and Robert Shelton – Sonnenblick-Del Rio Development.
10:00-10:45 a.m. Breakout Session – Marketing Tips from Those Who Do it Best – Disney & Carl’s Jr.
  Have you ever watched a commercial and wondered “Who comes up with this stuff?” Well, this session’s speakers did. Hear trade tips and the inside story on marketing campaigns from two of the best in the world. Disneyland Resort and CKE Enterprises have very different approaches to marketing, and both will be here to share them with you.
  Breakout Session – Procurement – Who is Looking for You and  How to Win Their Bid.
  Come and make your next business deal here! Join the session that stimulated $45 million in business at our last conference. We have a diverse mix of public agencies and private companies that are looking for you, so come and hear about what they are looking for today and how you can do business with them tomorrow. Panelists include City of Anaheim, County of Orange, SBA, OCTA, Kaiser Permanente, and Disneyland Resort.

  When your next potential customer asks what your Green practices are, will you have an answer? This panel of business leaders and experts will give you a variety of ideas, tools and tips for Green practices in building, in business and more. Hear about options that show your business in “Going Green” and in some cases help your bottom line. Panelists include Anaheim Disposal, Anaheim Public Utilities, Turner Construction, Ganahl Lumber, Anaheim Marriott,Brookfield Homes, and Spiraled Stem Floral Design.
  Breakout Session – Exporting Around the World
  California’s exports grew 9.4% from 2005 to 2006. Are you part of that statistic, or do you wish you could be? Let the Orange County Export Assistance Center show you how you can build and grow your exports. And hear from a panel of businesses that are successfully doing business around the world, today.

2008 Anaheim Business Awards
The Anaheim Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the City of Anaheim and the Small Business Administration, announces The 2008 Anaheim Business Awards. We are continuing the tradition of honoring businesses in Anaheim by highlighting the accomplishments of key leaders who help drive the local economy and create jobs in the Anaheim community.

The award recipients will be honored at The 2008 Anaheim Business Awards Luncheon on November 12, 2008 at Disney’s Disneyland Hotel. In addition, each winner will receive recognition in press releases, newspaper advertising, the Chamber website, Anaheim Magazine, and the Chamber’s weekly column in the Anaheim Bulletin.
